Learn to Row (week 1)
July 28th to 31st (Monday to Thursday)
Our Learn to Row camp is for participants aged 11-16 (KS3) who have never rowed before. Based at Maiden Castle (Sport & Wellbeing Park), participants will have access to our state of the art indoor rowing tank and ergo gallery. As well as the opportunity to get on the water and put into practice the new skills you have developed.
All equipment will be provided, including lifejackets (where applicable) and lunch is included within the price of the camp.
This is a non-residential camp that will run from 9:30am - 3:30pm each day.
Junior Development Camp (week 1)
July 29th to 31st (Monday to Thursday)
This camp is aimed at juniors (11-16) with some experience in rowing, who are looking to improve their technique and build confidence both on and off the water, aiming to participate in a single scull regatta at the end of the week.
Based at Maiden Castle (Sport & Wellbeing Park), participants will have access to our state of the art indoor rowing tank and ergo gallery. In addition to this, participants will complete water sessions on the River Wear boating from DUBC’s boathouse on the Maiden Castle site.
All equipment will be provided, if participants have their own equipment that they wish to use on the camp (boat/blades) please contact Holly Young. Lunch will be provided each day within the cost of the camp.
